The motto of this year's company outing was Cast off and full steam ahead!

The day began with a relaxing train ride to Willi's Boathire, the starting point for our paddle tour on Germany's most popular canoeing river – the Lahn. And a bit of an adventure was in store for us too with various obstacles to navigate including rapids, locks and even colleagues in pirate-mode ;). A stopover in Villmar with an interesting talk on the Lahn marble by our "resident-mbi geologist" Mark Remlinger and a picnic were certainly highlights!

The day drew to a close over a delicious evening meal and good conversations at the Landhaus Schaaf in Runkel. What a wonderful, active, and eco-friendly excursion we had!
