mbi celebrates the open days at the new location in the Konrad-Adenauer-Promenade in Wetzlar with around 300 guests. Customers, business partners, employees, family members and interested parties get to know each other, engage in interesting conversations and listen to interesting presentations about working at mbi.
This year, the ninth WINPACCS Symposium takes place in hybrid form for the first time. More than 400 guests from over 40 countries attend, learn about the WINPACCS software and exchange ideas with other actors in development cooperation. Managing Director Martin Bork has been supported by four executives appointed to the management team since November. mbi continues to grow and exceeds the 50-employee mark for the first time.
Staff move into the new premises in Wetzlar – a second site for mbi. The fantastic location, spacious, state-of-the-art offices, and the special feel to the twentieth century villa are appreciated by the whole team.
Our company outing this year takes us to Frankfurt am Main, where two entertaining guided tours help everyone see Frankfurt Airport and the “New Old Town” through new eyes. The highly enjoyable day drew to a close with a delicious dinner in Sachsenhausen.

We’re pleased to announce the signing of the 15th apprenticeship contract in the history of mbi, enabling us to offer interesting and varied vocational training to yet another young person.
mbi GmbH can now look back in gratitude on 20 years in business and many successful projects and enriching encounters with customers and partners.
Simone Hund, Head of Finance and Controlling, receives full commercial authority for mbi GmbH. Now, mbi has an additional person, besides Managing director Martin Bork, with authorisation to sign.

mbi successfully introduces an inhouse system for the electronic annual accounts and the business register of the Bundesanzeiger, official notifications published by the Federal Ministry of Justice. The electronic annual accounts are published on 1 January 2007 for the first time.
mbi GmbH acquires the distribution and marketing rights of WINPACCS, at this point a system for the management of projects for development cooperation and humanitarian emergency aid used worldwide.
Federal Minister for Work and Social Affairs Walter Riester visits mbi – an example of a young, innovative and successful company. Developing a concept for an electronic filing system for insolvency for the “Bundesanzeiger Verlagsgesellschaft mbH” (federal publishing house) marks the entry into the e-publishing market.
mbi offers apprenticeships in the field of informatics and office management, thus demonstrating the importance it attaches to training junior staff.
After a long period of building, mbi moves into its own office building. Cooperation with the insurance industry starts through a contract for developing the “FEURIO” software with R+V Versicherungen insurances.
mbi receives its first international consulting contract from the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations, FAO.
The partnership agreement for converting the sole proprietorship "Martin Bork Informationssysteme" into a GmbH (limited liability company) is signed. The newly established "mbi Unternehmensberatungs-GmbH" is entered in the commercial register.
The company is founded, with Martin Bork starting to work as an independent consultant. The first assignments come from the GTZ GmbH and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Institute of Employment).
