GTZ as worldwide active development organisation requires an own dictionary of terms to safeguard a uniform use of terminology. The dictionary explains the most commonly used terms in five different languages. The electronic version of the "GTZ World of Words" was realized by mbi. It features a function that creates HTML pages from Word documents to be published at www.gtz.de/glossar for all interested parties.

Development of a software solution to support the internal administrative procedures for the job placement for Non-German nationals, who want to return to their home countries. The system also allows applicants and companies offering jobs to place their requests/offers directly on the internet.

For FAO an information system was designed and developed, which brings together information on agricultural mechanization from different institutions and makes them available on the internet.

The national GTZ office of Bolivia required a database to manage information on national and international experts, allowing to support development projects in their search for qualified staff and consultants. mbi developed this database as an internet solution based on the FrameTool Knowledge. An interactive internet application now serves users to comfortably register and access data of staff and experts in an efficient and decentralized way.

Development of the cost monitoring system AMS for the worldwide projects of GTZ. The software is used by the projects in the countries to access up-to-date financial data and to carry out comprehensive statistics and analysis.

WINPACCS is an accounting package specifically designed for the requirements of development cooperation. It serves the projects to comfortably enter accounting data and, by its special design, allows even non-accountants to easily administer the project accounts.

DED is using WINPACCS and AMS as their standard applications for project accounting and cost monitoring. Both systems were developed in collaboration between GTZ GmbH and mbi GmbH. The applications were adjusted to the specific DED requirements and are regularly updated.
